Hearts of Oak and Jolly Tars

Inspired by this recent edition of Little Wars TV recreating the Battle of Trafalgar I've decided to try and do the same myself for this famous battle.

I've decided to go a bit smaller (and cheaper) by down-scaling to 1-3000 ships from Forged in Battle. I've based the ships for 'Fire As She Bears!' rules, as used by LWTV, but using cms instead of inches so I can fit the battle on a 6x4 ft playing area.

It's taken me about a week to paint up Nelson's Fleet and I plan to tackle the Combined Franco-Spanish fleet next week. As well as being cheaper 1-3000 ships have the advantage of being much quicker to paint than 1-1200 and don't really require rigging and no assembly is required. The models are also more generic so I can reuse them to do some of the other scenarios available for the rules.
